Scholarships are awarded to first-year students majoring in dance based on an audition (in-person, video submission, or at Dancewave), a completed application, and faculty recommendations.

To be considered for a scholarship, please first apply and complete your Goucher application by January 15, 2026.

Audition Type

It is most advantageous to meet you in person for your audition. It provides a personal experience where you will have the opportunity to take a class with the dance faculty, chat and have lunch with current Goucher dancers in our dining hall and tour our vibrant campus. We understand that it might not be possible for everyone to make it to campus so if you cannot attend the audition in-person, we do provide a video submission option.

In-Person Auditions will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Video Auditions must be submitted by Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Dancewave Auditionees are not required to re-audition.

Please Note: In order to be eligible to audition, you must first be admitted to Goucher College. If you are not admitted to Goucher, your Dance Scholarship Application will be withdrawn and your audition cancelled. Apply Now.

Attending family members are invited to enjoy brunch in the Mary Fisher Dining Center at a special guest rate. Brunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
