Letters of recommendation are an important part of the college application process and provide admissions teams with insight into a student’s character, achievements, and potential. Join us for a virtual session designed to help students understand how to identify recommenders, request strong letters, and build meaningful relationships with teachers, counselors, and mentors.
During this webinar, students will learn how recommendation letters fit into the college application process, how to approach potential recommenders, and what they can do to help their recommenders write thoughtful and impactful letters.

Elizabeth Cavallari serves as the Director of College Counseling at Hampton Roads Academy, where she guides students and families through the college search and application process.
Elizabeth brings more than 15 years of experience in admissions and higher education. Prior to her work in college counseling, she held admissions, enrollment, and student services roles at William & Mary Law School and the William & Mary School of Education. She began her career in undergraduate admissions at Bucknell University, where she developed a passion for helping students find colleges that align with their goals, interests, and aspirations.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from William & Mary. Elizabeth is passionate about helping students navigate the college admissions process with confidence and purpose.
