Class Overview
Goucher College, in partnership with the test prep experts from Top Score Education, is proud to offer a free, eight-week virtual SAT prep program designed to help students strengthen their skills and boost their confidence before the May 2 SAT.
Each session will provide focused instruction in SAT Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing, along with effective test-taking strategies, practice, and guided review. Students will become familiar with the exam format, improve their pacing, and learn proven techniques for approaching questions strategically. This program is offered at no cost and is ideal for any Junior planning to sit for the May 2 SAT.

Top Score Education is a boutique test-prep and tutoring company offering group and 1:1 support for students. Top Score supports students in grades 6–12 across all academic subjects, as well as the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, HSPT, and nearly all AP exams.

About the Instructors
Alex Chip founded Top Score Education in 2004 and has tutored thousands of students on the SAT and ACT. A nationally recognized expert in test preparation, Alex brings over 22 years of expertise and an infectious passion for helping students excel. A DC native, Alex is a Landon School alumnus and a proud Duke University graduate.
Phillip Smith is a veteran educator and worked nearly a decade as a classroom teacher before joining Top Score as a full-time Senior SAT/ACT Tutor. In addition to Phillip's work as a tutor with Top Score, he serves as the Director of Training and Development. In that role he trains all of Top Score's new SAT/ACT Tutors on their curriculum and instructional methodology.
