About the Presenter
Joel has been working as a college counselor for the past 29 years both in an all-boys and in all-girls high school setting (16 years at Salesianum School; 13 years at Padua Academy). The two schools he has worked at have been ranked as the top two athletic high schools in the state of Delaware, sending many athletes to play a variety of sports at the collegiate level. He’s also worked as an independent college advisor, assisting students with the college process and athletic recruiting. He’s experienced the college athletic recruiting process from the counselor’s side, a coach’s side, and a parent’s side as he currently coaches high school baseball, has coached flag football, and is the proud parent of a college baseball player. Recommended Audience: Student-athletes in grades 9–12, parents/guardians, coaches, and school counselors interested in learning more about the college athletic recruitment process.
